Cataract surgery using multifocal intraocular lenses

Notice regarding selected medical treatment

If you undergo cataract surgery using a multifocal intraocular lens, we will charge you the following amount as a selected medical treatment fee in addition to the regular medical fees.

Selective medical treatment refers to additional medical services that patients choose to receive, and the costs for these services are entirely borne by the patient. Since April 2020, cataract surgery using multifocal intraocular lenses aimed at reducing the rate of postoperative glasses wear has been designated as a selective medical treatment by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare.

Our hospital is registered as a medical institution that performs cataract surgery using multifocal intraocular lenses. We will explain the details to patients who are eligible for multifocal intraocular lenses during their consultation.
